Which AI for research?

Start from the job, not the brand. Below are research-related tools from the Whichora directory — cited real-time answers, research inside Google Workspace, reading long documents, and keeping research notes. Always open the sources an AI cites before you rely on them. Prices change — re-check the official page before you pay. Not financial advice. Last checked 2026-10-16.

Cited, real-time answers

Research when your work lives in Google

Reading and summarizing long documents

Keeping research notes in one place

A simple research stack (test free first)

  1. Ask the question in Perplexity and open the cited sources.
  2. Paste the long PDFs or reports you found into Claude (or ChatGPT) and ask for a summary with quotes you can check.
  3. If your files are in Gmail, Docs, or Drive, try Gemini there instead of copying them around.
  4. Save conclusions and links in Notion so the research is reusable.

Free-tier limits apply. AI answers can be wrong even with citations — verify anything important. Re-check each official pricing page before you pay. Not financial advice.
